International Women's Day

In honor of this wonderful day, I have decided to share a little story, along with adding a few of my favorite empowering quotes below. My whole life, I have always been a little insecure. If you’ve been following me for a while, you probably know that I battled with depression and also attempted suicide. It was very tough to admit to my family, let alone the Internet. Even though I was scared, and honestly embarrassed, I wanted to help and inspire girls who were possibly dealing with the same struggles. Over the past year, I have gone on an AMAZING journey. I finally “found” myself while pursuing an internship in New York City, which is cliché to say, but that is the place where I began to feel happy again. I always knew I wanted to do something big with my life but never felt like I was good enough. Girls can be really mean and say awful things to try to get you down. Trust me, I would know. And it worked for a while but now I can truly say that I am confident in myself, and want to share how I feel:

I am imperfect.

I have scars.

I don’t have the prettiest past.

But,

I am strong.

I am beautiful.

I am smart.

And most of all, I am ME.

Ladies- I want you all to go look in the mirror and tell yourself that you are beautiful in every way. Don’t listen the negative things that people say. It is YOUR choice to make a stand and prove to the world that you’re unstoppable. Who runs the world? GIRLS.

xoxo
