Wild Thing

Happy (as happy as a Monday can be) Monday! I hope everyone had an excellent weekend. Mine flew by very quickly, due to a full day in Atlanta on Saturday and busy Sunday (including this photo shoot. Yay!) I am so so SO pleased to have finally found a photographer in the Auburn area. I have literally been searching for years months. The funny thing is that I had known Brooke Dunaway for a few months…we met at Church of the Highlands (shocker) when I first came to Auburn. So basically God knew we were meant to be good friends/partners in crime photography. She is the sweetest girl ever and has such a strong heart for The Lord. (Not to mention that she is a fabulous photographer!!) So if anyone needs pictures taken or a friend, call her ;)

I have been looking for a neon pink sweater forever (seriously) but could never find the perfect one. On Saturday, my Big and I went into Lilly Pulitzer and THERE IT WAS. Neon pink AND cashmere…just sitting on the table, staring at me and screaming my name. I mean, basically. So of course I grabbed it and tried it on and it fit like a glove. And (drumroll, please)……it was on SALE. Hello, beautiful, you’re coming home with me tonight.

If you missed out on getting these Phillip Lim for Target bags, I feel so sorry for you. (Really, I do.) They pretty much make the world go round. Designer name, roomy, and they won’t break the bank. I bought the taupe one for myself, and then my darling mother surprised me with the black one after a broke-down in tears (literally) after not snagging it when they first came out. If you’re a working girl like me, buy one if you can. I have to carry my Macbook, iPad, and a few thousand Diet Cokes. So Mr. Lim definitely helps me manage.

As much as I love to wear heels, I have definitely got to learn to walk on train tracks in them. These were such a steal, too. (Hooray!) They are Sam & Libby for Target, so originally $$$$$. But lucky for me, I found them on sale for $12!! They’re surprisingly pretty comfortable. And HELLO they’re snakeskin embossed. What is more perfect than that? I have to bring out my wild side sometimes ;)

These boyfriend jeans are honestly the next best thing to having a boyfriend. (Sigh). I got them at Gap a few months ago, and wear them probably more than I would like to admit…Being petite very short (5’2) can make it hard to wear them sometimes because of my short legs, but hey, I’m going to wear them anyway. (And pair them with heels as often as possible).

Floppy hats can spice up any outfit, so OF COURSE I had to bring one more “pop” of fabulousness into this outfit. Big thanks to my bestie, Courtney, for giving me the urge need to buy one. I found this beauty at H&M last month, and for only $25. Score and score.

This beautiful faux fur vest belongs to my roommate. (Thanks, Kacy, for letting me borrow it for the shoot!) I believe she got it at a boutique…I am on the hunt for one, myself. So if anyone knows where to get one, please let me know ;)

XOXO

  3. I tried to hard to get the black Phillip Lim bag but I could only find the taupe, which wouldn't really go with anything I wear, so sad! I'm still on the huny for a black one though! This shoot is awesome!
